TOUR THE CASTLE
Take a look at some of the rooms open to visitors. Of course there’s lots more to see when you visit!
Main Entrance
Make an entrance through the grand front door just as the Duke would have done after debarking from his yacht in 1850 and coming up the steep hill in a coach and four. The Duke and Duchess wanted to create a great first impression, and it still impresses today. Wonderful flower arrangements throughout the Castle add to the grandeur. The sweeping Main Staircase boasts a collection of hunting trophies, proving that this Castle was one of the largest hunting lodges in Scotland.
